PPF is in a steady state of expanding influence on the international market and is an increasingly recognized automotive protection product.

For such a quality product that is further developing its market, UPPF wants to let you know how it can be applied to your vehicle so that you understand that it is a safe and effective paint protection tool.

What is PPF?

Its a very strong and durable film made out of polyurethane, sandwiched in between a clear coat on top and an adhesive on the bottom. The thickness of the PPF currently on the market is 3-11 mil thick. This is because its primary purpose is to protect.

The different PPF thicknesses of UPPF range from 7.8-10 mil. A special case is windshield film, which is mainly used on vehicles windows and is available in a thickness of 4 mil, which is the most suitable thickness for it.

PPF installation method

PPF is a wet installation. First, you deep decontaminate your vehicle and then do a paint correction to make sure you get all the swirls out. You then spray a soap solution underneath the PPF, on top of the PPF and on the surface of the car to allow the adhesive to slide and the squeegee to glide. It takes about 2-3 days to install a front wrap and up to 10 days for a full car of PPF. For removal, you want it to be removed in a professional manner so that the clear coat is not also removed, but basically, you use steam and gently pull the surface close.

Area covered by PPF

The most important areas to cover are the front bumper, fenders, hood, headlights, and mirrors. This is called a front package. We would also recommend covering your rockers as the paint in these areas is very thin. These are the highest impact areas, meaning they get hit with bugs, rocks, and dings the most.

You can cover your entire car, if you spend so many time on road, or your parking space has a horrible environment.

Summary

The fundamental logic behind the protection achieved by PPF is that it is a film that covers the bodywork. UPPF's PPF is made of TPU, which is chemically stable and harmless to humans. It is also installed in a way that does not involve any harmful substances. Thus, UPPF's PPF is able to guarantee its own safety.
